It is with great pain and sorrow that our family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Tyler David Richard Muir at home, on Friday May 17, 2024. Tyler was the adored son of Stacey, stepfather Colin and loving big brother to Logan, Avery, Noah, Cole, and Gavin. He was a cherished grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. Tyler is now resting in the loving arms of angels before him, his biological father, Ross, adoptive father Jason and his Nannie and Great Nannie, all predeceasing him. Tyler will be lovingly welcomed in heaven by his best dog buddies in life, Jesse and Tito.
Though Tyler struggled in life, he always cherished family, especially his Mother; Stacey who he would call his biggest support, confidante, and best friend. He never went a day without saying “ I love you Mom,” and giving her a kiss. Tyler had unbreakable bonds with his five brothers whom he fiercely defended and loved unconditionally. Tyler spent his early years in Nova Scotia, later settling in Alberta with family. His passions included everything cars and playing hockey. He talked of joining a men’s hockey league just days before his death. He thoroughly enjoyed his time working at Kal Tire.
Always a child at heart, Tylers biggest enjoyment was being on the water with a fishing rod. He appreciated what the water had to offer from a young age; a chance to chill, and find peace. Tyler’s kind, loving blue eyes could brighten any room. His smile was contagious and this is how we will remember him; in his happiest moments, with a big smile and twinkle in his eyes walking towards the water, with his fishing rod in tow. Tyler’s time on earth has ended suddenly but his spirit will forever surround those he loved. With the heaviest of hearts, the loss of you will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, our sweet Tyler. Cremation has taken place in his hometown of Edmonton. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
