It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Gay (Jan 12, 1973 – May 20, 2024). Steven was born in the Corner Brook, Newfoundland and moved to Liverpool, England as a baby. He was always a proud Brit even after moving back to Canada as a teenager. Steven was a devoted fan of Liverpool Football Club, never missing a game, especially enjoying watching at the pub. Following in his dad’s footsteps he started his career on the ocean, travelling to various international locations and transitioning to a career in cooking afterwards. He was always interested in sharing recipes and cooking ideas with his sisters and nephews.
Steven is leaving to mourn his sisters Christine (Harv) and Jackie (Melvin); nephews Dylan, Lucas, Alex and Jack; and extended family. Steven adored his nephews and never missed a special occasion. Steven is predeceased by his parents Tony (1991) and Sandie (2008).
Steven’s family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton for the compassion and care given.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Rest in Peace Steven. YNWA.
