It is with a heavy heart we announce the peaceful passing of the delightful Stanley Charlie Weeks on October 20, 2023, at home with family, as he wanted. He was born Dec 7, 1937 and was 85. Due to progressing pulmonary fibrosis he had difficulty breathing, and was content with his good lengthy life, thus ready to leave his way. The family wishes to thank the EMS and other health care supports for their great services during the last days.
Stan the Man, will be well remembered for being kind, fun natured, smiling, joking and laughing. He was a good man, decent, loyal, honest, hardworking, and thrifty. Loved by all!!
Stan leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two children David Weeks and Sandra Weeks (Roger Ficko), and their lovely mother Lorraine Weeks, and their grandchild James Phillips and his half sister Sarah Phillips. His sister Pearl Prochaska, sister-in-law’s Helen Weeks and Kay Pitula, cousin Barbara Ferneyhaugh, many nieces and nephews, and several friends. Stan’s girlfriend of the past 8 years, the wonderful Mavis Lambert took very good care of him in her home till his last days, and he was also loved by her extensive fun family of children/spouses; Donna & James Griep, Jeanne & Larry Linderman, Jim & Kari Knight, Marla Loney & Matt Wright, Michelle & Eddie Summers, along with 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren (and 2 more on the way).
A service and celebration of Stan’s life will take place on Sunday October 29 from 2-5pm at Park Place Funeral Home at 51 Broadway Blvd, Sherwood Park, AB.
In lieu of flowers, Stan would say Save Your Money! But if so inclined it would be best to bring flowers to the service for all of us to enjoy, or call Angie Kline at Pedals On The Trail 780-482-7673, and she will make and deliver them to the service, as she will also be singing for us.
