Alvin Bill Kuzyk Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alvin Bill Kuzyk.
On October 17th, 2023, Alvin passed away at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital surrounded by his close family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Catherine; children Natasha (Marc), Christina (Keith), and Nadia (Nathan); grandchildren: Sophia, Abigail, Noah, Oliver, and Barry; sister, Mary (Robert); niece and nephew as well as relatives in Canada and Ukraine and friends.
Alvin is predeceased by his mother (Frances), his father (Paul) and his grandmother (Maria).
A memorial service will be held to honour the memory of Alvin, at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Parish, 9507 Austin O’Brien Rd NW Edmonton, on Friday October 20th at 10:00 am. Followed by a burial service at St. Michael’s Cemetery at 13819 82 St NW, Edmonton.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, and Grey Nuns Community Hospital who showed care and compassion to Alvin during his stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart4Children Canada organization who have been serving orphans in Ukraine for over 25 years. Donations can be made via e-transfer to lailacraddock@yahoo.ca or by cheque to Heart4Children Canada, 45 Pipestone Drive, Devon, Alberta, T9G 1T4. Please include your name and mailing address to request a donation tax receipt.
