Allan Ramsay Craigan
October 17, 1962 – August 28, 2024
Allan Ramsay Craigan, of Calgary, AB, sadly left us on August 28th, 2024, at the age of 61.
He will be greatly missed by his sister Colleen McDonald, brother in-law Todd and niece Spencer, all of Sherwood Park, AB. Allan was predeceased by his parents George and Joan Craigan of Calgary, AB.
Allan was born in Calgary, AB on October 17, 1962. His family moved to Salmon Arm, BC in 1968 and later to Kamloops, BC. He returned to Calgary, AB in 1985, where he made the city his permanent home. He dedicatedly worked in the City of Calgary’s mail department for 27 years and touched everyone he met with his gentle and kind manner.
Allan fought a tremendously brave battle with cancer over the past two years, he was a true inspiration of quiet strength and will remain forever in our hearts and prayers.
The family would like to thank Dr Cynthia Card of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, AB, as well as, Dr Rebekah Gilbert and Jody Sliger, RN, with the Alberta Health Services palliative care team.
In keeping with Allan’s nature and request there will be no memorial service. Family and friends will hold a private inurnment at the family plot in Calgary, AB at a later date.
