PARKER, Kay
1956 – 2024
Mrs. Kay Frances Parker passed away with her family by her side, at the Rocky Mountain House Hospital, on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the age of 68 years. Kay was born in Shoal Lake, Manitoba. She was the third of four children born to John and Eileen Ewachewski. Kay moved to Red Deer in 1974, where she met her husband, Bob. They were married in 1980 and started their family. Later, moving to Rocky Mountain House was a joy for Kay, bringing her closer to the mountains that she so loved. Family outings and day drives into the mountains for wiener roast picnics were some of her favorite times. Family togetherness is what really warmed her heart. Kay also enjoyed many sessions in a Ceramic Studio. With her detailing skills and painting abilities, she made many ceramic gifts for countless people. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bob, her daughter, Tara (Darren Crowley) and family, Rya, Chloe and Nate, her daughter, Monica (Michael Kurtz) and family, Hayden, Hunter, and Hudson, and her, as she said, ‘kick ass son’, Travis. Kay will also be sadly missed by her brothers, Wayne (Darlene) and Richard, her mother, Eileen who is soon to be 101 years old, and her one niece, Tracy. Kay was predeceased by her father, John and her older sister, Violet Holden. At Kay’s request, no service will be held. If desired, Memorial Donations in Kay’s honor may be made directly to the ROAR Society of Rocky Mountain House at www.roarsociety.ca. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
