Mr. Frederick Robert ‘Bob’ Smith passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the age of 87 years. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his children, Brian (Heather) Smith and Tim (Lori) Smith, and his grandchildren, Stephen, Kaitlan, and Nicholas. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Lorna Nelson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Bob was predeceased by his wife, Jackie, and his sister, Dorothy Bain. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Nancy Chegus Officiating. If desired, Memorial Donations in Bob’s honor may be made directly to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation at www.albertadiabetesfoundation.com.
