Eileen Edna English (Bogaert) of Red Deer Alberta passed away at Points West Living on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the age of 90 years. Eileen was born on November 12, 1932, in Amherst, Nova Scotia. She was a daughter of the late Lloyd J. Downey and Beatrice A. (nee Amon) Downey. The family would like to thank all the staff at Points West Living for the love, care and support given to their mom. She really did get the best care, and they loved her there. Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Linda Bogaert of Red Deer, and Joanne Bilodeau (Leon), also of Red Deer, her grandchildren, Kevin Arsenault of Calgary, David Arsenault of Ontario, Tara Hodel of Calgary, Josh Sallows (Ana) of Calgary, Ashley Bilodeau (Braden) of Edmonton and Branden Bilodeau (Alyssa) of Red Deer, her several great grandchildren, and her nieces, and nephews. Eileen was predeceased by both her parents, as well as her siblings, Margaret Zinns, Dorothy Goodwin, June Hank and Reginald Downey. In addition, forever missed are her son, Robert Bogaert and his father, Samuel Bogaert. A Memorial Service in honor of Eileen will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8 Keast Way, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired, Memorial Donations in Eileen’s honor may be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society at www.alzheimer.ca or to a non-profit charity of the donor’s choice.
