Debbra ‘Deb’ Rose Wood of Innisfail, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the age of 67 years. Debbra was born to proud parents, Lillian and Robert Wood on April 2, 1957 in Three Hills, Alberta. At an early age she found a love for artistic expression. She was a talented painter and enjoyed working in different mediums to express her innermost thoughts and feelings. Her greatest joy in life however was her son, Robert, who inherited his mother’s talent for art and creativity. Deb worked hard throughout her life at various service jobs to provide for Rob when he was young and later in life her two grandchildren, Kaitlyn ‘Bugs’ and Ryder, were the recipients of much love and spoiling. Though separated by over 1100 kilometres, Deb made sure to send huge care packages out to her grandkids often and she regularly called to give “hugs and kisses” through the phone. Deb will be greatly missed by her son, Robert, his wife, Christine; her grandchildren, Bugs and Ryder; her sisters, Brenda Anderson and Sharon Bartlette; as well as her close friends and remaining family members who all feel she left us too soon and too suddenly. Deb was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Rita Charlton. A Celebration of Deb’s Life will be held at a later date.
