It is with heavy hearts, the family of Mr. Arthur ‘Art’ Bryan Keeler, of Blackfalds, Alberta, announce his passing at the Red Deer Hospice, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the age of 66 years. Art passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on July 28, 1958, in Olds, Alberta, to Jake and Theresa Keeler. He lived all his life in the Red Deer area. Art’s career as a Licensed Automotive Mechanic started with an Apprenticeship, and he then worked his way up to Service Manager with General Motors Dealerships in Red Deer. In his later years, he was a well-respected business owner, repairing diesel fuel injection systems in Red Deer, until his retirement. Art loved the outdoors, camping, hunting and quadding. Art will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Lori Murray; his step children, Brenden Murray, Jasmine Murray, Kallie (Aaron) Miettinen; his mother, Theresa Keeler; his brothers, Patrick Keeler, Ray Keeler (Pan), his sisters, Donna (Richard) Argue, Denise (Larry) Walls, and Carolyn (Darcy) Schatschneider; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. Art was predeceased by his father, Jake Keeler.
A Private Family Gathering will be held. If desired, Memorial Donations in Art’s honor may be made directly to STARS at www.stars.ca, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada at www.heartandstroke.ca, the Red Deer Hospice Society at www.reddeerhospice.com or to a charity of the Donor’s choice.
