Peter passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his Father and Mother, Nelson and Susan Hopton and his Daughter in Law,
Lou Ellen Hopton.
He was married to Karen for 63 years and was blessed with three wonderful children, Clayton, Paul, Gregory Dean and Christine Ellen. They then had ten Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren followed and were his greatest joy in life. Peter was also very adventurous and enjoyed camping, hiking, boating, fishing, skiing and had a passion for taking road trips on his Harley with his buddies.
It is with profound grief that we must say farewell to Peter at a mass held at St. James Church in Okotoks on April 19 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Oilfields General Hospital where he was treated with amazing kindness and care. He will be forever remembered with love by his family and friends.
