Michael Cservak Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Michael Cservak announce his passing on July 21st, 2024 at the age of 91. He was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother and friend and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He was a true gentleman.
Mike was born in Budapest, Hungary and moved to Canada at a very young age to escape his dangerous and difficult life. He travelled all by himself by boat to Canada and chose to start a new life in Alberta. He was very determined to turn his life around a became a successful Accountant and entrepreneur opening Mike’s Deli in Strathmore.
His former wife Julie was the mother of his first three children, Kathy, Camilla and Michael Jr (deceased) and his second wife Hilda (deceased) was the mother of his fourth child Zena.
Mike is survived by his 3 daughters: Kathy Willardson (husband Brad) grandsons Chris, Cory (great grandsons Aydan and Donovan) and Ryan; Camilla Sichmann; Zena Blais (husband Koby) grandsons Kellan and Karson; as well as many extended family and friends.
Some of the things Mike loved were socializing, dancing, skiing, golfing, going for walks and just being out in nature. He had an appreciation for the arts and finer things in life like great food, nice cars, live theatre and music but the most important thing to him was family.
Mikes infectious enthusiasm for life will truly be missed. In both his personal and professional life, Mike brought a sense of understanding, generosity, kindness and poise that went beyond his role as a father and grandfather. He was always there to help out when called upon. Even at the end of his life, he was young at heart and an eternal optimist. He touched so many people over the years and his passing has left a void in our lives but his memory will forever fill our hearts.
A funeral service will be held at the St. James Catholic Church in Okotoks, date and time TBD
