Douglas Arne Berg Obituary
Douglas Arne Berg of Okotoks Ab, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife Donna by his side on September 9, 2024.
Born in New West Minster BC On October 6, 1944, Doug grew up in Walley BC, with his 7 brothers and Sisters, before meeting his wife Donna (Wells) in Calgary Ab, at a Jehovah Witness Convention in 1967. They lived in Ontario, Red Deer, and High River previously before settling in Okotoks Ab in 1984.
Doug became the beloved town Barber as owner of Double D-Lux for the next 30 years offering cuts, conversation, and some laughs before retiring in April 2015. At his heart Doug was an artist, who loved to create. His true passion was his woodworking which he endlessly created works of art for his friends and loved ones.
He is Survived by his beloved wife Donna, and children, Son Jeffery Berg, Daughters, Lisa Obrand, Isobel Berg (Ivo Belcore), and Ingrid Crook (Graham Crook). 6 Grandchildren Bridgette and Lucas Beauchamp, Kaitlyn and Lauren Crook, Giulia and Giorgio Belcore. He is also Survived by his Brothers Dennis, Leonard, George, Arnold, Sister Sonya and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his Parents Arne and Amanda Berg, siblings Mary and Lloyd.
Funeral Services will be held Monday September 23, 2024 at 11 AM at Snodgrass Funeral home in Okotoks Ab.
