Raymond Seitz, beloved husband of the late Mona Seitz, passed away peacefully at South Country Village in Medicine Hat. He began his new life’s journey with family by his side on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the age of 94 years. Left to cherish Raymond’s memory are two children: daughter, Dixie (Ray) Reierstad and their two children, Jill (Jose) and their two kids, Felix and Knox; Kristopher (Bristie) and their daughter, Wrenley; son, Jim (Renee) and their two children, Danyelle (Kyle) and their two kids, Kassidy and Reese; Matthew (Lauren) and their two kids, Caleb and Danica. Raymond is also survived by Jack’s three children, Justin, Crystal and Jonathan as well as their families. Along with Mona, Raymond was predeceased by his son, Jack; parents, George and Sophie; six brothers, George, John, Rheinhold, Earl, Edgar and Wilbur as well as one sister, Jean. Raymond was born at Wisdom, AB., on April 13, 1930. This is also where he received his schooling. He worked for the PFRA for a short time before he started farming in the early 1950’s near Orion in the Peigan Coulee. He was passionate about his land; farming truly was his life. Family wish to extend their appreciation to Dr. Jeraj as well as the nurses and staff at South Country Village for the care Raymond received during his time there. A Private Celebration of Raymond’s life will be held at a future date.
