Our beloved father, grandfather, son and brother, John “Johnny” Szola, passed away on Monday, November 18th, 2024, at the age of 51 years. John leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Lyn Duggan (Rob); father, John Szola Sr. (Theresa); children Adrian Szola (Dakota) and Aaron Szola (Ashley); his grandchildren, Reid, Truett, Beckett; as well as his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends. John was an avid team player, playing in multiple pool leagues and partaking in bowling and golf. John had a passion for music and was a DJ for many years. He was always proud of his son’s accomplishments and made sure always to take pictures. John enjoyed going to work at Starks Plumbing and Heating Ltd., where he worked for 9+ years and considered the people he worked with family. John was always the first to offer a smile, crack a joke or lend a hand. John loved many things in life, but most of all, he loved his family and friends. Johnny will be forever in our hearts. The memorial service will be held at the Cypress Centre, Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede Grounds on Saturday, December 28th at 2:00 pm. If unable to attend, family and friends can participate via live stream by logging on to www.saamis.com and joining the live webcast on John’s memorial page at the above date and time. A virtual guest book is available on the livestream page for those participating remotely. A celebration of life will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch#17, 702 2nd Street SE, Medicine Hat, AB on December 28th, 2024, at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in John’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada at alzheimer.ca/en.
