Elsie “Ellie” Kosmick Obituary
Elsie “Ellie” Lydia Kosmick passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the age of 87 years, beloved wife for 68 years to Gordon Kosmick of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory their children Dean Kosmick, Kelly Curtin, Samuel Kosmick and Russell Kosmick; one granddaughter Jamie Lynn Ellis and two great granddaughters Elizabeth and Emma as well as numerous special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Lydia Schlenker; one grandson Justin Kosmick, and by three brothers and three sisters. Elsie was born to Lydia and Edward Schlenker on July 18, 1936, in Medicine Hat and raised on the family farm. She received her schooling in Medicine Hat and Edmonton. As a young woman Elsie was employed at Gainsboro Studio in Medicine Hat. On August 2, 1955, she married Gordon Kosmick in Medicine Hat and they moved to the United States where they raised their family. In 1977, they returned to Medicine Hat to be closer to her family. Elsie’s hobbies included crossword puzzles, reading the bible, gardening, Avon and deep conversations. She led a very happy life. Elsie was a very giving and loving person who will be missed by all who knew her.
The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend officiating.

A private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
