Obituary of Irene Evelyn “Ev” Wills
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Irene Evelyn “Ev” Wills at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, SK on June 14 at the age of 86 years, (just ten days shy of her 87th birthday).
Ev was greatly loved and will be missed by: her children, Lee Franklin (Della) of Lloydminster and grandchildren, Vanessa and Brant (Jade); Sherry Waldorf (Rick) of Lloydminster and grandchildren, Philip (Lisa) and Matthew; and Randy Franklin (Phyllis) of Lac Sante and grandson, Adam; her stepchildren, Clay Wills (Pat) of Lloydminster and grandchildren, Alisha, Tanner(Erin) and Dustin (Adrina); Ed Wills (Susan) of Coronation and grandchildren, Anita Hewitt (Ryan), Nicole Kinch (Travis) and Tracy Grabler (Brent); Clark Wills (Karen) of Peers and grandchildren, Kyle(Tyra) and Amanda Jardine (Troy); 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ev was predeceased by: her husband, Robert (Bob) Wills, parents, Martin and Viola Person; and her brother and sister-in law, Bob and Audrey Person.
Ev was born in Lloydminster and went to school in Lloydminster area. Her greatest joy was her family. She made everyone feel like the favorite. Being an excellent cook she showed her love through cooking big meals and baking special treats. She never failed to ask what she could bring to family dinners and was usually told “buns”. Ev enjoyed many friendships as well, welcoming people into her life with open arms and her big heart. Ev was a very active participant in her husband’s cattle buying business and shared his passion for horses and chuckwagon racing. She will be remembered as an avid card player and a great listener. We will miss her greatly.
The Memorial Service for Ev will be conducted from Marwayne Alliance Church, Marwayne, AB on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
Donations in memory of Ev may be made to Canadian Kidney Foundation or donor’s charity of choice.
