Norman Lebsack Obituary
Norman Roy Lebsack, of Lacombe, AB, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 with his loving wife, Irene, by his side in Red Deer, AB, on January 22nd 2024.
Norman was born in Calgary, AB, on September 2nd, 1932 to Samuel and Elma Lebsack. Norman grew up alongside his older brother Alvin and younger sister Lorraine in the Joffre, Alberta area. Norman’s love for farming was instilled throughout his childhood and into his adult years. At age 30 he met the love of his life Irene Penner and they were married on July 13th, 1963, in Lacombe, AB. Throughout their marriage they welcomed four boys into the world; Greg, Ron, Gary and Blair. Norman was often found cheering his boys on at a hockey arena, ball diamond, or other sporting activities. As his family grew with eight grandchildren, he instilled his family values through many family dinners, gatherings, and celebrations. Norman was also known for his love of curling, antique vehicles, and farming. Well into his later years, he could often be found in a combine during harvest helping out neighbors and friends. Norman was a strong pillar in our family and will be deeply missed.
Norman was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Elma Lebsack, brother Alvin Lebsack, and brother-in-law Richard (Dick) McKinnon. He is survived by his wife Irene, their children; Greg (Heather), Ron (Dianne), Gary (Carol) and Blair (Caitlin), grandchildren; Kailey, Brock, Avery, Makenna, Ashton, Ethan, Halah and Rosalind, his sister Lorraine McKinnon, his niece and nephews Karen, David (Kaew) and Ken McKinnon, niece Pat (Bob✞) Holden and their families.
A private family Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024.
