Wayne Douglas Lyman Obituary
The family of Wayne D. Lyman announces with heavy hearts, his passing on May 24, 2024 in Calgary at the South Health Campus Hospital.
Wayne was born on October 6, 1940 to Oren and Sophie Lyman in Denver Colorado. They decided to migrate north in 1946 when Wayne was just a young boy, settling on what is now the family farm in Cayley, Alberta. Once old enough, he attended Cayley School while growing up, before choosing to attend college in Olds.
He was unsure of his life in the Farming world, so he tried many other possible careers in his early adult life. He worked with CP Rail for four years, before moving to the sales floor of Eatons Canada in Calgary.
Aside from his work, he always made time for his true enjoyment, trap shooting. Over the years, he added many trophies to his collection for his passion.
Wayne is survived by his brother Lloyd Lyman.
He was predeceased by his parents Oren Lyman, and Sophie Lyman (nee. Thomas)
As per Wayne’s wishes, there will be no service.
