Metro “Jim” James Hackman Obituary
On May 26, 2024 at the age of 87 our father, Metro “Jim” James Hackman, joined his beloved wife Marion, and gained his wings.
Born in Canora Saskatchewan on July 18, 1936, Dad grew up on the family farm but made his way to Alberta where he met and married mom and became the father of Carla and I, Brenda.
They resided in Calgary until retirement when they moved to High River. Him and mom enjoyed their retirement years traveling down south enjoying time in the warm weather with family and friends.
Not long after mom passed, he too entered a seniors home where he enjoyed his time playing bingo and listening to the musicians that frequented there.
Dad is survived by his loving daughters Brenda (Russ) and Carla (Gary); grandchildren Shelby (Jon) Riley (Jaret), Preston and Brett, Sylvana; his siblings Sally Chalus (Andy), John Hackman (Joey), Betty Wales (Paul), and the youngest sibling Alan Hackman (Fran); as well as a soon to be great-granddaughter
You take with you so much love Dad and we know you are now free from pain and the constraints of your wheelchair and are back where you belong with mom.
A graveside service for Jim will be held at a later date.
