Jerry Williams Obituary
Jerald (Jerry) Vern Williams born Dec 6 1946. Died July 6 2024,
He will be missed by wife of 52 years Pat, daughters Denise (Shawn), Sherri (Poul) daughter in law Kim, grand children Mike, Grace, Elizabeth, Kathryn, Jerica and Matthew and numerous nieces and nephews. He was Pre deceased by his son, Troy, parents, Vern and Pearl Williams, sisters Myrtle(Don) Dewdney and Laverne(Larry Broome) Stratton.
Raised in the Water Valley/Winchell Lake area, there he met and married the love of his life, Pat in December of 1971. They spent the next 52 years challenging each other while raising their 3 children. Initially they made their home in many adventurous spots. Eventually they found their way to Black Diamond where they settled in while the kids were in school, before building on their acreage in Meadowbank.
He was extremely proud of his family, especially his wife Pat, who could cook anything better than anyone else, especially pie. If given a chance he would pull out pictures of his girls and Troy, and eventually his grandchildren to tell stories about them. The grandchildren all loved grandpa’s pancakes and trips to the coffee shop for chocolate milk. Jerry loved hunting, solving the world problems with the guys at the coffee shop, a good auction sale, collecting and always being right.
He was proud of being a true Albertan, and believed that only good things happened west of highway 22. He worked hard all his life at numerous jobs, but his love was trucking, becoming best known as Jerry the hay hauler. If it could be put on a truck, he hauled it!

A Memorial get together will be be held at Longview hall on July 18th 2 to 4 pm
