It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Garry William Archibald. He was born to Gordan Stewart Archibald and Dorothy May Archibald (Edwards) in Lacombe Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife Liz Archibald of 49 years, his four children Leah Chevallier, Andrew Archibald (Mel), Alan Archibald (Sarah) and Alisa Ditto (Jesse); his sister Joyce Anderson, 10 grandchildren Julien, Mikaila, Ben, Sierra, David, Sophie, Savannah, Violet, Phillip, Forrest and one great-granddaughter Octavia. Garry is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both his parents and his sister Lynn Fehr.
Garry served in the Canadian Navy stationed at CFB Esquimalt from 1967 until 1973. Garry then worked as a sheet metal mechanic from 1974 until he retired 2018.
Garry was an avid fisherman and animal lover. He had an amazing way with animals. His love for dogs especially his corgis was unparalleled.
Garry loved his flower garden especially roses.
Everyone who met Garry was touched by his generosity, patience and kindness.
The Celebration of Garry’s Life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in High River on November 22, 2024, at 2:00 pm.
