David Brian Collins, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on February 12, 1951, in Victoria, British Columbia, to the late Arthur and Jean Collins.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jean Collins, his daughter Shauna Collins, and son Randy Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Judy (nee Burgess). His brother Ric (Wendy), his sons Troy (Brenda), Pacer (Jill), daughter Connie (Dennis), 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Known for his sharp wit and irreverent humor, David was incredibly sassy and sarcastic, endearing himself to those who knew him best. He had a knack for livening up any gathering with his quick wit and infectious laughter.
In addition to his playful personality, David was an avid hunter, finding solace and joy in the great outdoors. His passion for hunting allowed him to form lasting bonds with friends and family who shared his love for the sport.
Upon retirement, David relocated to Manyberries, Alberta, where he immersed himself in the community. He dedicated himself to the upkeep of the community hall and was always ready to lend a helping hand to his neighbors in need. His selflessness and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
David Brian Collins will be fondly remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his unwavering loyalty to his loved ones, and his willingness to go above and beyond to help others. While he may no longer walk among us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
