Obituary For Roy William Campbell
February 9, 1947 – December 27, 2023
LOVED MUCH REMEMBERED FOREVER
Roy left this earth to be with his heavenly Lord and Savior on December 27, 2023 at 7 a.m. at Prairie Lake Hospice in Grande Prairie, Alberta. With courage, dignity, strength and unwavering faith, he fought a hard battle with T-Cell lymphoma. Never did he allow this disease to take away his sense of humour or his purpose in knowing God. How do you sum up the life of a person on a sheet of paper – by remembering that person and how he touched your life.
Roy is survived by his wife Judy of 56 years, daughters Carleen and Cheryl Campbell, grandsons Braden McDonald (Jenna), Devon McDonald (Nadia), Tyson McDonald (Faith), sister Elaine Thibeault (Rod), Renee and Steven, Mark and Lindsay, niece Julianne (Fraser) Stefura and Matt, brother in law George Guest, Alan and Leanne, nephew Jason Sawatsky (Amanda) and Kastyn, sister in law Arlene Benoit (Jean) and family, nephew Troy Erickson (Hayley), niece and nephews Bonnie, Michael and Danny Caron and many cousins and one Aunt Helen Knutson and her family.
He was predeceased by his parents Ted and Julia Campbell, father and mother in law Roy and Maggie Erickson, sisters Joan Guest, Linda Sawatsky, Millie Fraser, nephew George Guest, sister in law Carol (Caron) Pruss.

A celebration of Roy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at 2pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, Alberta. A livestream link will be made available shortly and will be added below.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital – Cancer Clinic (donation link available under Roy’s photo on the left) or directly at gphospitalfoundation.ca
Interment to take place at a later date.
