Obituary For Nelda Laverne Sinclair
February 12, 1946 – May 14, 2024
It is with the deepest sadness we announce the passing of Nelda Laverne Sinclair, on May 14th 2024 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, at the age of 78 years. For anyone who knew her, this came as a great shock. Even if you were 20 years old, you would swear she would outlive you. She never let her age get in the way of anything.
Nelda was born in High River, but found her final home in Wembley, Alberta on her farm with her late husband Bill Sinclair. Nelda took great pride in her farm and was always keeping the farm up to the highest standard. She loved her animals, plants, antiques, knickknacks, helping others where she could, and her family and friends. She was a true busy bee that kept busy till the end. Her absolute favourite pastime was scrolling her computer for fun DIY projects, recipes, checking in on her loved ones and online shopping. She was well known for her long-term employment at the Grande Prairie Hospital, spending over 25 years employed there. She had an absolute heart of gold, one of the kindest people you could meet, and for that she will be missed by many.
Nelda is predeceased by her husband Bill Sinclair, sister Hazel Kipling, son Clinton Rush and her first great grandchild Kinsley Wurtz. She is survived by her sons Warren and Shane Rush (Anna Paton), her grandchildren Brayden and Miranda Rush, great granddaughter Scottie Wurtz and her best friend Marilyn Bromley.
