Obituary For Mary Elizabeth McDonald
We have shared together the blessings of God Philippians 1:7
On March 24th, 2024, our beloved Mom and Nanny passed away into the arms of the Lord and has reunited with her loving husband, Randy.
Left to mourn and celebrate her beautiful life are her children: Frances and Rodney Rockarts, Jim and Cindy MacDonald, Marianne and Glenn Nelson, Sandee MacDonald and Kelvin Williams, and Jody and Lisa MacDonald. Mary was blessed with eight grandchildren: Angie (Dave), Steven (Jane), Christopher, Randine (Dustin), Teagan (Steve), Tyra (Stephan), Mackenzie (Rachel), and Madeline (Clark); and five great-grandchildren: Oliver, Violet, Jude, Finn, and Mabel.
She was predeceased by Randy, her husband of 53 years; her parents, William and Pearl Shannon; and her infant daughter, Patricia.
Mary’s greatest treasure was her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, a wonderful mother, and was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed nothing more than spending time together.
Mary was always thankful for her many blessings. She lived a life of selflessness and love and found comfort and peace in her Catholic faith. We will miss her always.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 15th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (210 Haddow Close, Edmonton).
Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley Downtown Chapel.
