Obituary For Connie Vanier
September 30, 1960 – April 27, 2024
Connie Vanier beloved wife of Dennis Vanier passed away Saturday, April 27th, 2024 at the age of 63 years.
Connie was a beloved wife, mother and gamma. Connie was born in St. Albert, Alberta on September 30, 1960, to Gilbert and Gertrude Belcourt. She was the 5th of 6 children. She lived her life lovingly devoted to her husband and family, enjoying spending her time camping, crocheting or baking.
Besides her loving husband, who Connie was married to for 43 years, she is survived by her daughter Stacy (Mark), her beautiful granddaughters Mikayla and Shayden, brothers Gilbert (Patricia), Doug (Eleanor), her sisters Gloria (Carl), Stephanie (Kevin) as well as 20 nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her son Cody Vanier, her brother Mike Belcourt and her sister-in-law Sharon Belcourt.
The Vanier family extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital for the wonderful care they showed Connie and her family.
A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (10404 102 Street in Grande Prairie, Alberta) on Monday, May 6th, 2024 at 2:00pm, with luncheon to follow.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society at cancer.ca or to the Make A Wish Foundation on behalf of Connie and/or Cody Vanier at makeawish.ca (the direct links are provided on the left under Connie’s photo).
