Obituary For Candace Faye Sheridan
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of Candace Faye Sheridan on Friday, July 12, 2024.
Candace was born on December 31, 1953, in Beaverlodge, AB. She resided on the original homestead she was raised on in the Elmworth area, AB, until meeting the love of her life Randy Sheridan and building a beautiful life with two wonderful children.
Candace spent many years working alongside her husband, trucking, where she earned her Class 1 license. Candace and Randy settled on a farm west of Beaverlodge, where they raised their children until Randy’s passing in 1999. Candace continued working various truck driving and equipment operating jobs until she earned her Student Driver Instructor’s license eighteen years ago. She loved her job, which was reflected in how she excelled in her career and expressed pride in her students when they received their licenses.
Candace loved everything equine related. She found great joy in watching her children and grandchildren ride and compete in everything from horse shows, gymkhanas, and rodeos, and of course just riding for pleasure around home as well. In her later years her highlights were watching her grandchildren in high school rodeo. She was always their biggest fan.
Candace leaves behind her eldest daughter Jaime (Jason) Paquette; youngest son Jeffrey (Tanya) Sheridan; grandson Keaton Sheridan; granddaughter Kadince Sheridan; sister Patricia (Gerry) Quinn; brother Ted (Maria) Sterr; as well as many extended family members and friends that she remained in contact with.
Candace was predeceased by her loving husband Randy Sheridan; father Reuben Sterr; mother Evelyn Sterr (nee Bickner); brothers Wayne and Dennis Sterr; and sister Sharon Johnson.
At Candace’s wishes there will be no service held in her memory, however, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Peace Area Riding for the Disabled (www.pards.ca/ways-to-give/make-a-cash-donation/).
