Obituary For Andrew Isaac Heaton
November 14, 1982 – November 30, 2023
Andrew Isaac Heaton, loving son of Eric and Karen Heaton, passed away on November 30, 2023 at the age of41 years. Andrew fought a very hard, long four-year battle with Malignant Melanoma.
Andrew was born in Dawson Creek, BC on November 14, 1982 at 10:50pm to proud parents Eric and Karen Heaton. He lived in Dawson Creek for two years before moving to Grande Prairie, AB where lived until graduation. After high school he wanted to travel to New Zealand where the Lord of the Rings was filmed..so off he went with his girlfriend at that time. Andrew travelled all over New Zealand and fell in love with that country. He came home after travels, soon to marry and start a family with Sheena Leblanc.
Andrew worked at his parent’s trucking business as he continued to expand his family. He was hardworking and a beacon of kindness with a gentle soul that touched all who knew him. His laughter echoed through our home, a melody of happiness that will forever resonate in our memories.
From the moment he came into our lives, Andrew filled our hearts with immeasurable love and laughter. With each passing year he blossomed into a remarkable individual, achieving big and small milestones, especially with photography, a passion since childhood. He found comfort and peace in capturing raw nature and using it to express himself. Two of his favourite places were the mountains and ocean. Andrew’s work became full time with Sheena, taking family photos, engagements, and weddings in the Vancouver area where he resided in Langley, BC.
Andrew loved his children the most; they were his world. His favourite hobbies were snocross racing in the winter, camping, hiking up the mountains, fishing, travelling, playing video games, and having time with his family and friends. He cared so deeply for the people around him. He was kind, passionate and made an impact on many lives and had a willingness to go the extra mile for people he loved. Though he may have left us, his memory will forever be a source of joy and comfort.
Andrew leaves behind his parents, Eric and Karen Heaton, sister Amanda (Dave Doyle), nephews Ashton and Rhys Doyle, wife Sheena Leblanc, children Liberty, Ryker, Auckland, and Laykynn Heaton as well as other family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Joe and Emily Heaton, Uncle Greg Heaton, his Uncle Al and cousin Mike Landry, great grandparents Ike and Helen Giesbrecht, grandparents John and Marion Schultz, and Auntie Gayle Flavelle.
We can’t believe our son has really gone. We have lost someone so special far too soon. Andrew was just one of a kind and was loved by everyone. A wonderful son, brother, husband, Dad, uncle, nephew, and friend. His fun spirit was infectious, and he charmed everyone who met him.
