It is with deep sorrow that we announce Walt’s sudden and unexpected passing from a short illness, on September 13th, 2024, at the age of 55 years.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his loving life partner, Sharon Jenniex; his cherished sons: Tyler (Paula) and Stephen (Ellen); his amazing daughter, Gracie; his beautiful grandchildren: Elizabeth and Elijah; with endless sadness and love, his beautiful mom, Mary Andrews; loving siblings: Dennis (Roxanne), Greg (Markus), Anthony (Tom), Jeff (Rose), Glenda (Calvin), Rosalind (Bob), Denise (Freeman), Nicole (Ralph) and Scott (Jocelyn); Mother-in-law, Florence Jenniex, and their families; their beautiful fur babies: Chloe and Max; and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Walt was a beacon of love and strength in the lives of all that knew him. He was a devoted family man, who cherished the moments spent with loved ones. His children and grandchildren brought him immense pride and joy.
Walt’s life was not measured in years, but in the quality of connections he built and the lives he touched. He loved crafts, woodworking, hunting, camping, telling many jokes and living his best. He was a hard worker, right up to his recent retirement.
Walt will be profoundly missed, but fondly remembered for his love, large laugh and countless memories that he created. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Walt is predeceased by his father, Walter Andrews; brother, Rodney, and two sisters-in-law: Sylvaine and Doreen.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, at the Doug Barnes Cabin from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. All are welcome to attend to remember and honour the wonderful life of Walt.
In Memory of Walt, donations can be made to the Fort McMurray SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
