It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Larry Shannahan on September 17, 2024, in his home in Fort McMurray at the age of 71.
Left to mourn, his son, Vaden (Nikki); grandchildren, Widline and Luther; sisters, Madline (Tony), Monica (Keith); brothers, John (Marion) Ben (Pauline), along with many nieces and nephews who all referred to him lovingly as Uncle. A special mention to his lifelong best friend Damien Clowe, and the large circle of friends and family that loved Uncle just as he loved all of them.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Joachim and Marie Shannahan of Ferryand, Newfoundland as well as his sisters, Gertie, Josephine, Theresa and his brothers, Hilary, Fabian, Michael
Memorial services will be held on Thursday Sept. 26, 2024, at the Lions Clubhouse, 3 Tolen Drive, Fort McMurray, AB, from 4pm to 10pm. Food and beverages will be graciously accepted at the time of the memorial.
