Frank Dettling Obituary
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness, that the family announces the passing of Dad and Grandpa; Frank Dettling on May 24, 2024 at the Fairview Health Complex. Frank was born August 15, 1930 and passed away peacefully at 93 years old.
Frank is survived by his loving family; son, James and Holly and children, Shauna, Damien, Blake and Nova; and his son, Bruce and children, Rylan and Ceara. Frank is also survived by many nieces and nephews and treasured friends.
He was very much loved and will be missed greatly by his boys and their families.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to nephew, Fred Dettling for ALL the help and assistance you gave Dad. He truly appreciated it and we cannot thank you enough.
Frank was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary (Luck) Dettling and infant son, Bruce Paul Dettling.
Dad was a quiet man who was a very skilled craftsman and could make anything from a piece of wood.
In keeping with Dad’s wishes there will be a Memorial Celebration viewing on June 6, 2024 from 7 pm to 9 pm at Peace Valley Funeral Home 11130- 101 Ave in Fairview, Alberta. The family invites all those who wish, to attend as they say goodbye to Dad.
Cremation will take place following the viewing. A private interment will take place at a later date and he will be laid to rest with his beloved Mary in the Friedenstal Cemetery.
If desired, the family suggests a memorial donation can be made in Frank’s memory to the Friedenstal Historical Society.
