Fiena’s Obituary
Fiena McIntyre of Fairview, Alberta passed away peacefully on December 9th 2023, surrounded by the love of her family.
Fi was an accomplished painter, a loyal Rotarian, successful businesswoman (Fimac Insurance), and community supporter who loved golf, dancing, gardening, her family, and friends. Born on 28 May 1934 at home in Gage to Philip and Elena Andreeff, Fi married and was predeceased by the love of her life, Ken McIntyre.
Fi leaves her beloved children: Susan (Bill Potter) of Ottawa; Brian of Kelowna; Gary (Anne) and Kelly (Emily) of Fairview. She adored her grandchildren: David (Heather), Cody (Tara), Kennet (Jenna), Scott (Delese) and Sarah McIntyre; and Brad, Brendan (Jessica) and Jesse Potter. Her great grandchildren, Parker, Paysen, Riley, Kessa and Brooks lit up her world. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Fanny Schischikowsky of Fairview and Doreen Riedijk of Campbell River, countless nieces, nephews, and friends. Much gratitude to Jessica Badua, Cheryl Biegel, Dr. Bob Irvine, and the caring staff at LTC Fairview.
A Funeral will be held at St. Paul’s United Church in Fairview at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, with interment at Waterhole Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or “Rotary Good for Kids” Box 1945, Fairview.
