Val Obituary
Val passes away peacefully at 98 years young on November 2, 2024. Val loved and enjoyed is to the fullest. She loved to dance, cherished many friendships and enjoyed workinh into her late eighties. Val retired from Imperial Oil, then worked for the Federal Government and finally for H &R Block.
Val was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Kate Harrison; her brother, Nick; and her sisters, Marie Jefferd and Doris Bourassa. Her partner, Allan Mekechuk, will miss her, as well as her nieces, Donna (Les) Lutic, Sharon (Don) McAmmond, and Maryann Pales, and her nephews, Jody Harrison and Michael (Julia) Bourassa.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8th, at 1:00 PM at Highlands United Church (64 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5W 4H6). A viewing will take place one hour prior to the service, starting at 12:00 PM. Following the service, there will be a reception, and a burial will occur at Evergreen Cemetery.
