Tyrus Ron Cote Obituary
After a short but courageous battle with cancer, we are heartbroken to announce the passing of Tyrus on December 12, 2024, at the age of 39 years, with his family and the Lord by his side.
A dedicated husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Tyrus leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and love. He is survived by his devoted wife of five years, Laura; his two precious daughters, Louise (3) and Sylvie (1); his loving parents, Ron and Brenda; sister, Caina (Scott); brother, Lamar (Jessica); in-laws, Harold and Alyson Kunas; brother-in-law, Dave (Hailey); nephew, Tevinn; nieces, Jaryn, Aislyn, Malin, Scarlett, and Isla; as well as many other dear family and friends.
He was predeceased by both sets of grandparents.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Catholic Parish of Corpus Christi, 2707 34 St NW, Edmonton. Visitation to precede between 1-2pm.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the remarkable staff at the Cross Cancer Institute, University of Alberta Hospital, and Roozen Family Hospice Centre for their outstanding care throughout the past six months.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tyrus’ name to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (designated to the Cross Cancer Institute) or Pilgrim’s Hospice Society. Thank you and God bless.
