It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Teresa. Surrounded by family, she passed away on November 29th, 2024, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 89.
She is survived by her daughter, Letizia; grandchildren, John, Kayla (Craig), and Lisa (JR); great-grandchild, Colt; brother, Gaetano (Alba), and sister, Antonietta (Nicola); along with numerous other family and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Domenico; and parents, Giovanni and Caterina.
Teresa was born in Albi, Italy. After moving to Canada, she worked at a bakery making delicious breads. Over time she was able to start her own business as a professional seamstress, creating beautiful dresses for all occasions including weddings. With her drive, she was able to build an amazing family, providing them with a good life. Her strength has been passed on and can be seen in her daughter and grandchildren as they carry on her legacy. Additionally, she will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and loyalty.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m, at Connelly-McKinley Downtown Funeral Home, 10011 114 Street NW. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on the following day, Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 9110 110 Ave NW. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, 14611 Mark Messier Trail NW.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Teresa’s name to Parkinson Canada.
