It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pierina Saporito on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the age of 86 years.
Pierina is survived by her loving husband, Vincenzo; children, Aldo (Gina Noce-Saporito), Santo (Sharon) Saporito and Franco Aurelio (Carmen) Saporito; grandchildren, Alessandra (Tyler), Marina, Carly, Vincenzo (Olivia), GianMarco, Francesco, Aurelio and Marie-Jeanne; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Eliana; and sister, Genoveffa in Italy; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family in Italy and Canada.
She was predeceased by her parents, Francesco and Sarafina; and siblings, Savario and Giuseppe.
Family and friends may pay their respects during the visitation Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue NW and Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton. Reverend Father Roy Antony, CFIC officiating with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5H 1S5.
