Lorraine Marie Nicolas Obituary
With a deep sense of sorrow and loss, our family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife to Roger.
She leaves behind her husband Roger of sixty one years, son Ron of Kelowna, daughter Cheryl (Kurt) of Devon, grandchildren Alex (Luke) , Kimberly (Taylor), Sarah, Danielle (Colt) as well as two great grandchildren, Summer and Declan. She also leaves a very big extended family of in- laws, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her father Antonio Robert, mother Josephine and brother Marcel Robert.
Lorraine worked at the Devon General hospital for thirty years in a number of capacities. This went hand and hand with her service to the Hospital Board where she either chaired or was a member for 20 years. This was a very cherished part of her life.
Lorraine will be well remembered by the community of Devon for hard work, generosity and contribution to the town of Devon. Her fingerprints are all over Devon with her tireless fundraising of any number of projects in the town. She was a fixture in the sports community supporting hockey, figure skating and ball. Raising money for all these organizations as well. Her love of people is second to none, with her infectious smile and calm demeanor she could lift the spirits of anyone. Her family commitment was her top priority. Her support for all her family members was unwavering and in her heart all family members were number one.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Devon Hospital Foundation.
A memorial Service will be held Tuesday July 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Devon Community Hall.
