“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28
On December 26, 2024, Jacob “Jack” DeHaas passed into the loving embrace of his heavenly father. We are filled with sorrow because we will miss him dearly. We also have joy as we know that he is now cancer-free and pain-free in his heavenly home with his Saviour Jesus. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Pauline; children, Michelle (Ron) Doorten, Shauna (Mike) Stam, John (Shirley) DeHaas, Daniel (Heather) DeHaas, Jessica (Keith) Wildeboer, Jolena (Brian) de Haan, Suzanne (Matt) Schouten; 32 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Jack was also such a loved brother (in-law) and uncle to the entire DeHaas and Koning families.
Jack was a kind and quiet man. He had a deep love for God, for his wife, and each member of his large family. He also loved bird watching and together they shared many experiences in the Edmonton Nature Club.
Special thanks to Drs. Sterrett, Sandu and Erin, Emmillee, Janine and Diane, and also Mary-Anne (for parking privileges) at the Cross Cancer Institute for their exceptional care for Jack and also for our entire family.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at the St. Albert Canadian Reformed Church, 54203 Range Rd 261, St Albert.
Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home.
