Obituary for
Helena Puzio
On June 18, 2024, Helena Puzio passed away peacefully at Devonshire Care Home in Edmonton.
She is survived by her daughter, Alina (Carlos deceased); son, Wojciech (Aneta); grandchildren, Krystina (Jacob), David (Taryn) and Victoria (James); and great-granddaughter, Finley; as well as extended family in Edmonton, St. Paul, Whitecourt, AB and Poland. Predeceased by her husband, Mieczyslaw “Mike” and grandson, Daniel.
Helena was born in Wlodzimierz, Poland (Wolyn). She was the youngest of four children, Teresa, Ludwika and Wladek.
In 1966 Helena and the children emigrated to Canada to join Mike, who had arrived six months earlier.
Helena was a wonderful mother and homemaker. As the children grew, she joined the workforce through her employment with GWG.
We would like to thank the dedicated staff at Devonshire Care Home for all of their assistance and help in looking after Helena.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 11485 – 106 Street, followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
