Frank ‘Trevor’ Fannin, a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old.
Trevor’s life was defined by his deep love and commitment to his wife, Dawn, and his cherished children, Meghan(Matthew), Amber(Sean) and Joel. He found immense joy in every moment spent with them, always putting family first. His eyes would always light up at every time he saw his beloved grandchildren, Kaylen and Emilia. His gentle, kind nature made him a steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.
He is predeceased by his father, Frank; mother, Wilhelmina; sister Mae and will be greatly missed by his oldest sister Joan(Ozzie). Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and moved to Canada in 1956, Trevor grew up in Malton, Ontario. In 1977, just a few weeks after being married, Trevor and Dawn moved to Edmonton, Alberta. This was supposed to be a short 2 year work opportunity but quickly turned into a permanent home where they raised their family.
Trevor shared a special bond with his dog and faithful companion, Riley, who was by his side for many years. Riley brought warmth and laughter into Trevor’s life, and together they enjoyed lounging in the warmth of the sunshine.
Trevor also had a passion for classic cars, especially his beloved MGA. Many will remember his smile as he enjoyed the freedom of the open road, even hitch hiking from the East to the West coast of Canada. His car was more than a hobby; it was a symbol of his love for craftsmanship and the simple pleasures in life.
Trevor’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and an appreciation for life’s quieter moments. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Family and friends are asked to take a quiet moment to remember the fond memories shared with Trevor. He never liked being the center of attention and per his wishes there will be no services. The Family plans to honor his memory privately at a later date.
