Elsie Motowylo
It is with deep sadness we announce that Elsie Motowylo passed away peacefully, surrounded by family (including Marie L.)
Elsie leaves behind her daughters, Joyce (Gerald) and Marie; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Bernadette; Elizabeth (Shane) and Felicity; Kathy (Luie) and Madelyn, Sydney; Jody (Sonya); Jill (Ian) and Aria, Caleb; and Landon; brother, Andy; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
She was predeceased by her eldest daughter, Elaine; parents, William and Maria Snihur; eight brothers and two sisters; numerous stepbrothers and stepsisters, friends, extended family and her faithful dog, Gizmo.
Thank-you to all the comfort care provided by all the nurses, doctors and other staff at Grey Nuns Palliative Care Unit to control Elsie’s painful cancers. We also appreciate and are thankful for the support and care extended to Marie while she honored Elsie’s request to be near her bedside for up to 24 hours every day, until the time of Elsie’s last breath.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue NW, Edmonton with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
