Carmella Roccia
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carmella Roccia on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the age of 89 years.
Carmella is survived by her children, Lena M. Roccia and Anna (Gary) Moore; grandchildren, Samantha (Henri) Devlin and Stephanie Moore; great-grandchildren, William Devlin and Emily Devlin; brother, Michael Manzella; her fur baby, Sweet Pea; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives in Italy.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francesco; son, Peter; parents, Antonio Manzella and Lucia Manzella; and siblings, Leonardo, Angelo and Rocco.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Royal Alexandra Hospital’s palliative care unit.
A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Father Roy Antony, CFIC officiating with entombment in the Edmonton Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
