Born in Enschede, Netherlands, Barend is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Mike (Stephanie), John (Jaime), and Brian (Richelle); 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters: Anne Kreiner, Aaltje (John) Fokema, Jane (Ray) Johnson, and Erica (Clayton) Every.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 14323 107A Avenue NW, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage you to make a donation to your local Food Bank.
Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley Edmonton South Chapel.
