It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Anton Japuncic, on December 13, 2024, at the age of 44.
Anton will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 5 years, Paulina; mother, Bozena; sister, Carolina; brother, Stjepan; and family members in Canada and Croatia. He will also be dearly missed by his many friends and brothers at IBEW Local 424.
Anton was predeceased by his father, Frank Japuncic.
Those who knew Anton will fondly remember him for his contagious smile, witty sense of humour, kindness, generosity, and his love of photography and travel. He was always able to put a smile on the faces of those around him.
Anton had a wide circle of friends that he developed over the years through cultural activities, school and his employment at the Italian Centre and numerous jobs as an electrician. The outpouring of care and concern over the past 18 months as he bravely battled brain cancer, speaks to how many lives he touched and the longstanding relationships he developed over his lifetime.
Although Anton is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.
