It is with great sadness that the family of Cody Ryan de Bruyn announces his passing on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the age of 43 years. Cody was born in Red Deer, Alberta to Brian and Pamela de Bruyn. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Brian and Pam of Eckville, and his sister, Kait Mc Kenna and her husband, Pauric, and their children, Maeve and Finn of Edmonton; as well as his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cody also leaves behind his second family, the Sacher’s, Janice (Bob), Aaron (Erin), Liam, Logan, Adrian (Ana), and Morgan who will miss him terribly. A Memorial Service in Cody’s honor will be held at the Relax Crew Clubhouse, 2, 6332 Orr Drive, Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Christmas was Cody’s favorite holiday, and we encourage everyone to wear their “ugly” Christmas sweaters. The Family is requesting that if anyone has pictures or memories to share of Cody, please bring them with you, as the family would like to make a scrap book from the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, if desired, Memorial Donations may be made in Cody’s honor directly to the Red Deer Special Olympics at www.specialolympics.ca or to the Red Deer Christmas Bureau at www.reddeerchristmasbureau.com.
