Bonnie Belanger Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Bonnie Belanger passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, at Red Deer Hospital, at the age of 71, surrounded by family.
Bonnie was born on April 12, 1953, in Preeceville, Saskatchewan. In 1955 the family moved to Drayton Valley where Bonnie grew up and attended school. In 1976 Bonnie & Terry moved to Brooks, where Bonnie worked at the Newell Hotel for 12 years. After that Bonnie focused on bookkeeping for their company T.P. Excavating. Bonnie enjoyed a quiet life, camping, reading, and watching TV. She loved her game shows and watching the popular reality show Survivor.
Bonnie was predeceased by her spouse, Terry Peterson, her brother Dale Omit, and her parents Orrie & Clara Omit. Bonnie is survived by her son, Brent (Starlene) Belanger, daughter, Roxane Peterson (Richard Redl), grandchildren Kirkland, Zoe, and Kipp, brothers Gary Omit, Donald Omit & Glen Omit.
A Celebration of Life for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Thom’s Funeral Home & Reception Centre, located at 477 Margaret Avenue East, Duchess, AB.
