Grace Sheila Jean Cavanagh Obituary
Grace Sheila Jean Cavanagh
June 14, 2004 – November 28, 2024
It is with deep sadness and sorrow the family announces the sudden passing of Grace Shelia Jean Cavanagh on Thursday, November 28, 2024. A loving daughter, devoted big sister, a beloved granddaughter and loyal friend. Grace’s kindness and “light” will forever be missed and will leave a large hole in the hearts and lives of her family and friends.
Grace was a true reflection of strength, wisdom, and love. An old soul at heart, she carried with her values passed down from her Papa, Nana, and Grandma—values of hard work, structure, and unwavering support for those she loved. She had a light about her that radiated warmth and positivity, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Grace was a confident young woman, not afraid to express her mind and opinion, and a deep, genuine character. She was patient, kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Family meant everything to her, and she was a loyal, loving sister, forever devoted to her siblings. Grace was both a Mommy’s girl and Daddy’s little girl. Grace was deeply devoted to her loved ones, and her commitment to them was unmatched. Grace’s social circle was small but and she was fiercely loyal to them, they were forever her people.
A true adventurer, Grace embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm—fishing, kayaking, swimming and camping were some of her favorite pastimes. She had a passion for horses and the western way of life, spending countless hours riding and bonding with the animals she adored. But time spent with her Jui-Jitsu family was a major part of her life, the structure there helped guide Grace and prepare her for life. She was a true tomboy at heart, always ready to get dirty, yet she had a feminine side, her nails done and lashes on. Grace was the perfect balance of strength and grace, never losing her true self.
Grace had dreams and ambitions that she worked very diligently to achieve. Her goal to become a personal trainer and help others on their fitness and wellness journey, was evidence to her compassion and dedication to bettering the lives of those around her. She worked hard for her success, recently receiving the highest mark in her English class, a reflection of her commitment to excellence and determination. In everything she did, Grace poured her heart into it, the word “quit” was not in Grace. She was relentless, driven, and was always pushing herself to be better.
Grace will be forever cherished by her loving parents, Shawn and Brandy; siblings, Joseph and Shylee; grandparents, Tom, Kathy, Heather, and Debbie, her extended family, Tina, Andy, Kate, Jennifer, Cody, Gio, Yana, and Frank and to all those lives she has touched.
The family would like to express their thanks top all who have reached out their love and support to the family at this time.
A Celebration of Grace`s life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the CETC (Clean Energy Technology Centre) in Drayton Valley, Alberta.
