Marie Claire Claudette Novosel
“Claudette”
May 1, 1938 – August 28, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Claudette Novosel, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved friend, who left us peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Claudette lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Claudette’s memory will live on in the hearts of her children, James, Loreen, Denise, and Tressa; her sister, Hèlène; grandchildren, Amanda, Hunter, Jarrett (Jenna), Kyle (Hayley), Austin, Parker, and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Faith, Odin, Rowan, Hannah, and Reece; brother-in-law, Bob (Sharon); sister-in-law, Marie and her large extended family and friends.
Claudette was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank; sisters, Lucille, Madeleine, Simone, and Françoise; brother, Raoul; her parents, Yvonne and Joseph Turcotte.
Claudette was the epitome of devotion, having shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Frank. Together, they were true lovebirds, their bond a testament to the power of love and partnership. Their focus was always on each other and their family, creating a warm and welcoming home where family gatherings were a cherished tradition. Claudette’s kitchen was where the aroma of her famous cinnamon buns and other delightful treats filled the air, bringing smiles to the faces of her loved ones. Her sweet tooth was legendary, and she delighted in sharing her baked goods with family and friends.
Claudette found joy in the sunshine and the beauty of nature surrounding her lake home where they lived before moving to Spruce Grove and Drayton Valley. She loved to travel, embarking on adventures that took her to far-off places, including memorable cruises and explorations in Hong Kong and Singapore. Each journey was an opportunity for her to collect new experiences and memories.
Claudette’s greatest legacy is the love she cultivated in her family. She was a nurturing mother and grandmother, always putting her family first and ensuring that they felt cherished and supported. Her warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Drayton Valley Long Term Care Unit for their kind and compassionate care of Claudette during her stay.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Claudette`s name can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
As per Claudette`s wishes there will be no formal Funeral Service.
