Tanya Caton Obituary
Tanya Edith Rose Caton, born on June 26, 1975, in Turner Valley, Diamond Valley, AB, Canada, passed away on November 15, 2024, in Camrose, AB, Canada, surrounded by her loved ones. Tanya was a vibrant soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
A devoted mother, Tanya’s world revolved around her children Eva and Ashleigh Caton and beloved dogs and cats. She cherished her time in the garden, nurturing both flowers and vegetables with great care. Tanya had a passion for traveling to warm, tropical locations and enjoyed creating lasting memories with her family, whether it was playing board games, video games, or visiting amusement parks.
Tanya had a very successful business career and just completed her 20th year of service with HR Block Canada, where she made hundreds of meaningful relationships with her colleagues. She was deeply saddened when she was too sick with cancer to continue, but insisted she would be back someday. Tanya’s faith in God was absolutely unwavering, she did not sway an inch to the left or right, she was focused on a miracle healing. Even 1 hour before she had her stroke we talked excitedly about her prospects for remission in the future, she believed!
Her culinary favorites included a hearty steak accompanied by Caesar salad, fried mushrooms, and garlic bread. Music was a vital part of her life. Tanya and Ron absolutely loved going to concerts and traveled extensively to see the bands they love. Tanya was a devoted fan of 3 Doors Down and, in her final months, found comfort in listening to Christian worship music, which filled her days with peace.
Though she dreamed of beachfront property on the Gulf Coast, Tanya was proud to call Alberta her home. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for life’s moments, large and small. Tanya will be profoundly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Tanya is survived by her husband Ron Malsbury, children Eva and Ashleigh Caton. Her parents Rose and Billy Hobbs, brother Robert Wegenerand uncles Charlie Johnson, Billy Schock, and Stephen Ross. Her step children and grandchildren Bradley Dueck, Morgynn Malsbury, Caelia Thorson and Angel Williston. Plus 8 grandchildren on Ron’s side of the family.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Donalda Community Centre, in Donalda, Alberta.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Hospital Camrose Foundation.
